today a malay guy friend told me he’s going out with a chinese girl. he has always liked chinese girls. but undeniably deep down he’s concerned about the intimidating word that haunts you and me every now and then – future.

despite the vast difference in religious views and upbringing, i guess it all comes down to the resonance between the two of them.

it’s just like simply striking a resonant C7sus, and you would never want the unpleasant dissonance from a C7#11, or the confusing complexity from a C7#5b9.

when all notes being played fits in harmoniously, it’s like oh-so-heavenly. but when it doesn’t, the shrike down your spine is a feeling too painful to even recall.
